Formula One Management has confirmed the proposed 2016 calendar has been leaked, but insists it is not the final version.
A 21-race calendar was widely circulated on Wednesday, confirming the news that the season will kick off on April 3 with the Australian Grand Prix.
According to the leaked calendar, the season will end on November 27 in Abu Dhabi and the only new race will be the European Grand Prix in Baku.
"It would appear that the proposed 2016 calendar has been leaked," FOM said in a statement.
"This calendar has not yet been approved."
The more condensed calendar sees the Russian Grand Prix moved from October to May, while it also confirms the German Grand Prix will return after being absent from this year's schedule.
The Strategy Group is meeting next month and the 21-grand prix calendar is likely to be a subject of discussion.
