Giancarlo Fisichella believes that tyre manufacturer Bridgestone concentrate too much on Ferrari and not enough on the other teams that run the same rubber. Fisichella's team, Jordan, are one of four other teams aside from Ferrari that use Bridgstone tyres and of those four -- Jordan, Sauber, BAR and Arrows -- only Sauber have scored points. Since McLaren opted to switch to Michelin for this season, Ferrari is the top Bridgestone runner.

"The Ferrari is a very good car but this is a problem for us," said Fisichella. "Bridgestone works for Ferrari, so the tyres are particularly good for them. But they only suit the Ferrari. For us they're not good at all, yet. We have to chase the set-up, and with the new construction we get a lot of oversteer in the middle and exits of corners."

At the San Marino Grand Prix Michelin were widely considered to have the advantage but Ferrari took a 1-2 finish on Bridgestones in conditions that were colder than expected. While Sauber have scored points, Jordan have had a dismal start to the season -- Fisichella has yet to finish a race and the problems seem to be as much with the car as with the tyres. Recent changes within the team aimed at cutting costs and trying to restructure the operation were defended by principal Eddie Jordan, who said: "Jordan has always been at its best when lean and efficient."
