Tuesday was an exciting day at Jordan HQ with Giancarlo Fisichella visiting the factory to view the development of next season's car, the EJ13, powered by the new Ford Cosworth RS1 engine.

His visit was the first since the end of the race season and the majority of his time was spent with his Race Engineer, Rob Smedley, Director of Race and Test Engineering, Gary Anderson and Director of Design and Development, Henri Durand.

Having been updated with the development of the EJ13, Fisi then had his seat fitting in the mock-up of the car, followed by a swift visit to the Brackley windtunnel to see how the EJ13 was progressing through its rigorous aero-programme.

Fisi is excited and anxious to begin his test programme in January 2003. "I know everyone is working very hard with this project" he said, "the team is strong and committed, and we are all looking forward to being competitive and successful with the new Ford engine".

Although this year's Formula 1 season has finished, there is no rest for Giancarlo as he continues preparations for 2003. He is working closely with his personal trainer and adhering to a strict fitness regime to ensure that he is in peak condition when the Jordan Ford EJ13 debuts in testing in January.
