BAR will be back in action at this weekend's European Grand Prix after the team's enforced two race absence. BAR was investigated after the San Marino GP for fuel tank irregularities and was subsequently stripped of its Imola points and banned from competing in Spain and Monaco.

The team initially planned to take legal action over the ruling but later announced it accepted the decision and would not challenge the FIA. Jenson Button and Takuma Sato will be racing at the Nürburgring and aiming to put some points on the board in both championships.

An FIA statement of May 25th said: "Following the BAR Honda press release of May 11, the FIA regards the San Marino Grand Prix incident as closed. BAR Honda are no longer under investigation and the FIA wish them every success in the remaining 13 rounds of the FIA Formula One World Championship."
