Silverstone, 10th June 1998 Circuit: Silverstone Circuit, 5.140 km Driver: Michael Schumacher, driving F 300 chassis number 183. Weather: air temp. 14-18 C, track 15-22 C, sunny alternating with rain showers throughout the day.

Intermittent rain made track conditions tricky as Michael Schumacher took over testing for Scuderia Ferrari-Marlboro at Silverstone today. Starting by testing wet tyres in the morning, the winner of last Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix then ran with dry tyres until rain came down once again. The German stopped running at 4 pm after he spun his F300 into the gravel, although no damage was done. He completed 31 laps with a best time of 1m 28.725s and continues testing tomorrow.
