Two Ferraris at Jerez

Circuit: Jerez de la Frontera, 4.428 km Drivers: Eddie Irvine, driving F 300 chassis 184 Luca Badoer, driving F 300 chassis 186 Weather: air temperature 8-15 C, track temperature 8-25 C This was Scuderia Ferrari-Marlboro's first day of testing at Jerez de la Frontera, in the Southern Spain.

Today, both Eddie Irvine and Luca Badoer were testing. The Irish driver concentrated on tyre testing and the set-up of his F 300. He also did some work on the suspension. The official test driver continued with the work he began last week at Barcelona, testing components destined for the 1999 car. Irvine completed a total of 82 laps, with a best time of 1m 25.833s, while Badoer did 36 laps, the quickest in 1m 28.305s.

   Testing continues tomorrow, again with Irvine and Badoer.
