Testing began at 10h00 local time. The two Ferraris had very different work programmes today at Silverstone. In the morning, Irvine concentrated on fine tuning his car. Michael Schumacher did a couple of short runs, before tackling two runs of about 20 laps each. Michael did another long run in the afternoon, then a few short ones, interspersed with changes made in the garage. Eddie also tried different types of tyre. Testing ended at 17h00 local time. This was the final day's testing at Silverstone. Tomorrow at Fiorano, Luca Badoer will shake down the cars to be used in the British GP.
