Third day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Mugello circuit. Luca Badoer and Michael Schumacher were driving today. Both drivers continued with a programme of tyre and electronics development, which began a couple of days ago.

171 laps were completed in total: 90 by Schumacher and 81 by Badoer. Michael set a best time of 1:22.129 and Luca did a 1:22.573.

Today at Fiorano, Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro carried out a shakedown of the three F2002 which will be used in the forthcoming United States Grand Prix, scheduled to take place at Indianapolis on Sunday 29th September.

The job of shaking down the three cars was handled by Luciano Burti. The Brazilian driver completed a total of 25 laps (of which 8 on the short version of the track,) setting a best time of 1:01.551. Burti also did some practice starts and the team practised wheel changes.
