First day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working on two tracks: at Fiorano with Andrea Bertolini and at Jerez de la Frontera, with Luca Badoer and Marc Gene.

At Ferrari's private test circuit, Bertolini worked on new mechanical components. The Ferrari Maserati Group test driver completed a total of 55 laps, twenty one of them on the short version of the track. The best time on the day was a 1:03.951.

At Jerez, Badoer and Gene were in action, working on a development programme of Bridgestone tyres and new components. The Italian driver completed a total of 61 laps (best time 1:21.658,) while the Spaniard did 42, the quickest in 1:23.193.

Tomorrow's programme sees Bertolini continue at Fiorano, while Badoer and Gene remain at Jerez.
