Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro was back in action at Fiorano today, to prepare for the Spanish Grand Prix, which takes place on 29th April at the Circuit de Catalunya, outside Barcelona.

For the first time this season, no less than three F2001 were used. Luca Badoer began running at 10.20 in chassis 210 (the one used as the spare in Imola) before switching to 208 (Michael Schumacher's race car at Imola.) Rubens Barrichello began driving in 209 (the spare chassis at the San Marino Grand Prix) after the lunch break.

The two drivers worked on aerodynamics and electronics in preparation for the next race. Barrichello also did 8 practice starts.

Here is the breakdown of laps completed and times.

Badoer (210) 48 laps (2 short), 1'00"164

Badoer (208) 26 laps (2 short), 1'00"430

Barrichello (209) 60 laps (10 short), 1'00"214

Testing ended at 19h15. The entire programme was completed with any technical problems.

Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro continues testing tomorrow, this time at Mugello, with Luca Badoer and Rubens Barrichello driving.
