This morning, the Catalunya Circuit near Barcelona hosted the first day of the fourth and final test session, prior to the start of the 2010 World Championship.

Fernando Alonso took to the track for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. The Spaniard worked mainly on overall development of the car, beginning to use a few new aerodynamic components. An electrical problem led to a long stop in the garage in the morning, while the afternoon programme was worked through according to plan. A total of 74 was completed, the quickest in a time of 1.24.170.

Testing at this circuit continues tomorrow, when Fernando Alonso will again be on track.
