Third day of testing for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Circuit de Catalunya, near Barcelona. Three drivers were in action today: Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello driving the F2002 and Luca Badoer in a F2001.

The two race drivers worked on development of the new car, concentrating on fine tuning the set-up. The test driver continued with a new tyre development programme.

Michael Schumacher did 70 laps, the quickest being a 1:18.406. Rubens Barrichello completed 57 laps, with a best time of 1:18.840. Luca Badoer ran off 98 laps, with a fastest time of 1:19.561.

Testing ran from 9.15 to 18.05. Tomorrow, for the fourth and final day of this week's test, the same three drivers will be at the wheel again.
