Haas Formula 1 driver Esteban Ocon has expanded his impressive car collection with a rare Toyota GR Yaris Gen 2 'Seb Ogier' Edition, which is limited to just 200 units worldwide. The French driver has shared a detailed look at the latest addition to his garage.

Limited edition Toyota GR Yaris

The Toyota GR Yaris 'Seb Ogier' Edition features numerous rally-based elements, including a 3-cylinder 1.6L turbocharged engine which delivers approximately 280 horsepower. He explained in the video shared to his YouTube channel:

"It's a very special car-only 200 units-and it's a car I wanted for a very long time.

"The Toyota Yaris GR is a very special car in general already, 'cause it's born from World Rally. They've made this car on the road with the purpose to make the World Rally car homologation into the FIA. This is really a car that's been built for racing and it's very special to have one on the road, to be able to drive it, and to feel the motorsport and the passion that has been going through years of development into driving down on the road."

One specific feature which he highlights is the intercooler spray system, he added:

"The intercooler is massive. You have a lot of rads, and actually, you can cool with water spray on the rad.

"When it's like warm days, you normally lose power with turbo cars, and that one basically - you spray the water on it, you cool a few temperature degrees, and then you get the power back, which is quite insane."

Seb Ogier Edition

The car's connection to French eight-time World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier was a huge selling-point for Ocon.

"Seb is a legend. It's very special to have one of the cars that he developed. He's won eight world titles-eight world titles! You know, this is incredible," the F1 driver explained.

The special edition comes with unique extras, including signed gloves from Ogier and a part from an actual Yaris rally car.

"As a special edition, you get an original part of the Yaris WRC car. Obviously, there are only 200 units in the world, so they were able to give it to the customers."

Ocon's car collection

The Toyota GR Yaris joins a diverse collection of cars owned by the 28-year-old F1 driver. Other cars included in his garage are his 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix-winning Alpine A521, a Ferrari 296 GTB, and a 2012 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 3ZR.

The French driver also imported a 1998 BMW Z3M from Japan with his father, for them to restore together.
