After Ralf Schumacher's race engineer departed the team recently, Williams have announced his replacement will be Gordon Day. Schumacher's former engineer, Craig Wilson, who worked with Ralf for three seasons, has moved to BAR to work with Jenson Button.

"The BMW WilliamsF1 Team confirmed that Gordon Day will formally take up the post as Ralf Schmacher's race engineer for the 2003 season," said a statement from the team. "Day, who has been with WilliamsF1 since 1999, formerly held a position as a data engineer with the team, and has worked as Ralf's race engineer during recent testing activities."

Aerodynamicist Geoff Willis moved from Williams to BAR in March 2002. Another engineering move recently was Gerry Hughes, who switched from Jaguar to Jordan. Hughes was Eddie Irvine's race engineer for two years. Within Jordan, former T-car engineer Dominic Harlow will now work as race engineer to whomever Jordan sign as second driver.
