The season may be over but Jordan still had one last race to contend with, albeit on a slightly smaller scale than usual. Last Saturday saw 220 racers, made up of Club Jordan members; Jordan staff; suppliers; sponsors and friends, take to the track in the first ever Jordan Karting day.

Guest of honour Ralph Firman got the day off to a flying start by taking to the track to do a demonstration run. He then led the field round for a rolling start to the six-hour endurance race. Not only did teams have to drive the karts, they also had to refuel and just to add a bit of extra spice a wheel change had to be carried out on a mock-up Jordan EJ13.

The hard fought event was eventually won by Jordan's in house team, who also set the quickest wheel change time (questions would have been asked if they hadn't). The lads also kindly allowed the runners up to have their first prize, a VIP tour of the Jordan factory.
