DECISION FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF APPEAL

The International Court of Appeal met in Paris on 27 July 1998 to examine the appeal brought by the Royal Automobile Club (United Kingdom) on behalf of the West McLaren Mercedes team against Stewards' decision n°10 of the 1998 British Grand Prix, in which the Stewards rescinded the time penalty imposed on the driver of car n°3 (Michael Schumacher - Ferrari). After hearing the representatives of all the parties involved, the International Court of Appeal confirmed Stewards' decision n°10. The results of the 1998 British Grand Prix are therefore final. The International Court of Appeal was chaired by Mr. Vassilis Koussis (Greece) and included Mr. Edgar Julien (France), Mr. Hervé de Liedekerke (Belgium) and Mr. J.W.G. van Rosmalen (Netherlands).
