"I am happy because for us to finish the race is a result! Now, we are going to look at the negative and positive points of the weekend and to continue our work. I drove throughout the race with a car, which was certainly not perfect, and which slid a little at the rear but at least it ran consistently all of the way and for us that was a first. One has to take things in order and in view of our start to the season we have taken a first step forward here today."
"For my part, I had a good start but I was not able to take full advantage of it because of the other cars around me, including Jean, and so I lost numerous positions. After that, like many other cars, I was stuck in the traffic. My car was not so bad, but we still have to improve a lot. Unfortunately, I had to retire after an engine failure. In the end, it was a drop of oil pressure that caused me to stop. "
"It is difficult to finish in a good position when you start so far back on the grid. On the other hand, to finish the race with one car, and almost with two because Nick had to retire less than 10 laps from the end, is certainly encouraging. Overall this weekend, we have again experienced some problems, but they are becoming fewer and fewer. I hope that we can continue in this direction and that we will be able to make the most of the test at Barcelona next week and to make a step forward. The road is still long but we know we are now going in the right direction."
Corrado Provera (Peugeot Sport):
"Taking into account our need to clock up some mileage, this British Grand Prix finished in an encouraging way with Jean Alesi, even if out of the points, going the distance. This has to be seen as a positive result. It has given us a real examination of the A20 EV3 and given us a lot of information including the cause of the drop in oil pressure on Nick's car which led him to retire with less than 10 laps of the race remaining."
