Japanese sports paper Tokyo Chunichi Sports reports today (Wednesday) that Jos Verstappen flew in to Japan immediately after the Spanish Grand Prix to try the Bridgestone F1 tires at the Suzuka Circuit.

The Dutch youngster is accompanied by several Arrows mechanics who were tight-lipped about the incognito visit. A Bridgestone spokesman also declined to comment.

Yesterday Verstappen spent much of his time in the circuit seat-fitting in a Ligier JS41 painted in white.

Verstappen and the gang will stay there for a couple of days evaluating the Japanese rubber which starts today.
