BMW will enter the 2004 Formula one season with two new official suppliers and one new promotional partner.

The sports goods manufacturer PUMA and the mobile network company O2 will be official suppliers while Gore will support the team as promotional partner. "We are looking forward to these companies' engagement", says BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen. "They are matching BMW very well and will be a great supplement to our sponsor portfolio."

PUMA and BMW have signed a three year supplier deal. PUMA will supply the BMW WilliamsF1 Team with shoes, team gear and fireproof racing gear that will be partly made of water and wind proof, breathable high tech materials manufactured by W. L. Gore & Associates GmbH.

Furthermore, the BMW WilliamsF1 Team and PUMA have developed a joint motorsport collection that will be available from March 2004 via the BMW distribution and the PUMA Concept stores. PUMA is active in more than 80 countries and has been producing driver shoes since the 1970s.

The Munich based mobile phone network company O2 is using the new F1 engagement to underline its already existing partnership with BMW. The cooperation with the BMW WilliamsF1 Team is supposed to include incentive and marketing measures. Some of these measures will be to offer merchandise articles in the BMW WilliamsF1 Team design at the O2 shops and a broad offer of WAP and SMS motor racing and news services.
