Mercedes will look to employ a new Y150 winglet in Spain, featureing an additional slot in the upper element.

The slot will promote stability, with focus being shifted toward a higher downforce configuration rear wing at the Circuit De Catalunya.

Aside from the new slot it's also worth drawing your attention to the application of heat-reflecting paint on the crash structure's upper surface, with the interior and leading edge of the winglet also being treated too.

It's not the first time we've seen a tri-slot winglet from Mercedes as the team completed a short test programme during pre-season testing with the one pictured above.
