The Team Mild Seven Benetton Renault F1 is testing this week from Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th August at the Barcelona circuit in Spain. This is the first test programme after the summer break and therefore the team has a very full programme.

The technical programme includes the testing of the new aerodynamic package introduced during the Hungarian Grand Prix. As always at this time of the year parts, which are destined for the R202, are being tested. A decision on their use will have to be made in the next few weeks.

Michelin have a very extensive programme, again as a result of the summer break, which includes a day of wet testing on Friday.

Finally the team will be looking at medium downforce configuration of the aerodynamics suitable for the forthcoming Belgian GP.

Mike Gascoyne, Technical Director
"We had a very successful day with both Jenson Button and Mark Webber. Jenson evaluated our package introduced at the Hungarian Grand Prix and he was happy with the result. The revised suspension geometry was tested along with the launch control set up. Mark concentrated on further work on both suspension geometry for next years and on the electronic systems. I am glad to say that overall we had a productive day."
