Ten drivers from six teams resumed testing today, Rubens Barrichello topping the times for Ferrari at the Valencia circuit in Spain. Barrichello set a fastest 1:11.429 while team test driver Luca Badoer was eighth quickest. Working with three chassis, the pair started an electronics and Bridgestone tyre programme.

After a uncomfortable first test with the EJ13 last week, Jordan had a much better start to this session. Giancarlo Fisichella was second fastest and under three tenths of a second off Barrichello's time. The Italian had a largely trouble free and reliable day working on general set-up.

Toyota had Olivier Panis and Christiano da Matta on duty, third and sixth fastest respectively, both driving a TF103. Work focused on more set up adjustments, Panis and da Matta agreeing that the new chassis was improving.

The sole Jaguar of Mark Webber was fourth on the time sheets. The Aussie continued with evaluation of the new 90 degree Cosworth engine as well as gearbox and Michelin tyre work.

Jacques Villeneuve and test driver Takuma Sato were on track for BAR, fifth and tenth fastest, while McLaren also had two cars present. Tester Alex Wurz was seventh and Gary Paffett continued to deputise for the unwell David Coulthard.
