Wednesday morning saw the start of Lucky Strike B.A.R Honda's first test following the summer test ban. The proposed three driver, three day programme is taking place at the Monza circuit in Italy. Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson kicked off the driving duties this morning, with the drivers spending the early morning runs finding a good balance on their respective cars.

With this achieved, Taku then undertook a tyre test to evaluate the choices for the forthcoming Italian Grand Prix. He completed a total of 46 laps, setting the fourth fastest time of the morning - a 1m 21.721s. Anthony finished his first morning by running through a front and rear wing aerodynamic test, eventually completing 44 laps to set the third fastest time of the session - a 1m 21.055s.

Both drivers had productive afternoons running through their full prospective programmes. Takuma's car required a gearbox change during the lunch break which was accomplished without any loss of running time.

Takuma completed 49 laps this afternoon, completing the planned tyre test which he began this morning, taking his running for the day to 95 laps in total. Anthony's afternoon also contained a tyre test, where he completed longer runs on new front tyre casings. Anthony's final lap tally for the day was an impressive 112 laps.

Jenson will join the test on Thursday driving chassis 03. Anthony will drive chassis 02 with Takuma remaining in chassis 01. There are were no times available for the afternoon session due to problems with the speed traps at the circuit.
