British American Racing has announced the launch of the 2003 contender on the 14th January in Barcelona. Jacques Villeneuve and Jenson Button are expected to test the car at the circuit after the launch. Villenueve is testing at the Circuit de Catalunya this week although Button has yet to get behind the wheel.

Meanwhile, Jaguar have delayed the launch of the R4 due to restructuring within the team. January 13th was the original date but this has now been postponed to "much nearer to the first grand prix of the season in Australia," according to the official website.

"The launch will be later in the month because we will not run the car until it has been thoroughly and fully evaluated," said team spokesman Nav Sidhu.

"The decision comes after Thursday's announcement of a comprehensive staff reshuffle at the Milton Keynes based outfit," was the explanation from Jaguar. "Following Richard Parry-Jones' eight month review of the team's business structure, the change is aimed at instilling new engineering processes that the team lacks."
