Orange Arrows have announced that they will continue with Bridgestone tyres in 2002 and beyond. Arrows joined forces with the Japanese manufacturer in 1996, before Bridgestone entered Formula One, and carried out all of the company's testing.

Arrows Team Principal Tom Walkinshaw said: "Bridgestone is one of our longest-standing partners and the relationship we have with them is very strong as they are as committed to success as we are. In a time when tyre development is critical to performance it is great to have the continuity in one of our most successful partnerships."

Hiroshi Yasukawa, Director of Motorsport at Bridgestone Motorsport added: "By agreeing to work with Bridgestone in 1996, prior to our entry into Formula One the following year, Arrows demonstrated its confidence in Bridgestone. We have not forgotten that, and as we look forward to starting our sixth season together we know we can count on the team's support and loyalty. 2002 marks the start of a new era for Arrows and Bridgestone will offer the best technical support that we can so the team can achieve the success it deserves."
