After a period of ongoing financial discussion, the Arrows F1 team is heading for the Belgian Grand Prix with a new, American boss. Whom the purchaser of the team is has yet to be revealed but former BAR boss Craig Pollock and two other interested parties were in negotiations for the team recently. The deal should be completed by the end of this week.

Arrows yesterday released this statement: "Arrows Grand Prix International announced today that the team has been sent to Spa. Heads of Agreement have been signed regarding the purchase of the team by an American investor. We hope for the deal to be completed by Friday."

One problem the new team principal will have to deal with straight away is finding another driver: since Heinz-Harald Frentzen quit Arrows recently, and subsequently signed for Sauber for next season, Enrique Bernoldi has been without a partner. Renault test driver Fernando Alonso has been linked with a possible drive for the team for the remainder of the season.
