Habsburg and Herta secured second and third spot respectively in the overall standings, while the former lifted the rookies' crown despite having ended the season with fewer wins than the American.

Habsburg inherits Race 1 after post-race penalty

The start of Race 1 saw Herta just managing to stay ahead of a charging Habsburg, while series debutant Dorian Boccolacci slotted in third after a poor start for champion Pulcini.

The American then escaped Turn 1 by going off-track for which the stewards asked Herta to give the track position to Habsburg.

But by the time the Carlin driver could give Habsburg the place, Boccolacci had already passed the Austrian after he went off in the corner for second.

Boccolacci in his quest for the race lead then hit Herta from behind, which resulted in the American spinning and dropping to third, while the Frenchman went on to take the chequered flag in first.

The win though didn't come easy as both Habsburg and Herta caught Boccolacci but despite all the effort, they couldn't get past, thus settling for second and third respectively.

After the race, stewards then handed five-second time penalty to Boccolacci and he dropped to third, giving Habsburg the win from Herta.

Behind the top three, RP Motorsport's Damino Fioravanti was fourth ahead of the battling duo of Keyvan Andres Soori and Ameya Vaidyanathan.

The Carlin duo separated by a mere 0.641s, with the Indian unable to get past his teammate despite the valiant effort.

Meanwhile, RP Motorsport's Tatiana Calderon found a way past her teammate Antoni Ptak to finish seventh, with Campos' Julio Moreno and Teo Martin's Nikita Zlobin completing the top 10.

Herta wins as Pulcini makes error

In the second race, Pulcini made a rocketing start from third on the grid, immediately taking over the lead from Herta and pole-sitter Habsburg.

However, away from the TV cameras, Pulcini seemingly made an error on lap 4, handing over the lead to Herta.

The Carlin’s driver newly-inherited lead came under threat on lap 6 when he ran slightly wide at turn 1, giving Habsburg a shot at first place.

The Driver racer attempted a lunge at turn five, but failed to get his nose ahead of the American.

That turned out to be Austrian's last charge to secure a double win as Herta was able to stretch his legs thereafter and secure his fourth win of the season.

Habsburg eventually finished 0.601s behind in second, while Pulcini had to settle for third after his earlier excursion.

Boccolacci was fourth, less than two seconds away from a podium spot, with Ptak completing the top-five.

Further back, Menchaca was classified sixth, while Fioravanti held off Vasily Romanov to take seventh at the flag.

Tanart Sathienthirakul and Nikita Zlobin secured the final points with ninth and tenth respectively.
