BMW DTM reserve driver Joel Eriksson won the second European Formula 3 race at Silverstone after a brave move on Callum Ilott on the opening lap.

While Friday's race started with one of the front-row starters Ilott spinning out and the other Lando Norris confidently leading, the latter suffered a poor getaway this time around.
Bogging down at the start, Norris dropped as low as eighth, and spent several laps trying to get past Joey Mawson.
Ilott, on the other hand, converted his pole position into an early lead, but he was immediately under pressure from Eriksson, and the Swede made an impressive move on the outside of Brooklands.
Eriksson had by far the strongest early stint, having built a gap of three seconds in as many laps.
However, Ilott then began to close the gap, and was just a second adrift at the halfway point before Eriksson responded and ensured victory with a couple of strong laps.
Jake Hughes was third, a further 13 seconds behind, while Maximilian Gunther came under pressure from Jake Dennis but eventually held on to claim fourth.
Mick Schumacher was the top rookie in sixth, keeping Norris at bay, who eventually made his way through an ailing Mawson.
The Briton quickly caught up with Schumacher as well, but couldn't get past the German.
He made a final attempt on the last lap at Copse, trying to go around the outside of Schumacher, but the move failed and he ended up losing out to Guan Yu Zhou and Jehan Daruvala.
Harrison Newey grabbed the final point-scoring position in 10th after also passing Mawson, who had to settle for 11th.
