Wickens scores podium in F3 Euro Series at Norisring, Germany

Robert was in Germany this weekend racing on the Norisring street circuit in the F3 Euro Series. The street course suited Robert's driving style and despite qualifying 15th for Saturday's race, he would make his way through the field to finish 7th. To put some perspective on the 15th starting position, competition is very close and Robert was just 2/10ths back of the second row. Robert scored points on Saturday (points go to the top eight) and this would garner him a front-row start on Sunday (top eight are inverted for Sunday's grid).

The race had it's share of accidents early and there was a 22-minute delay to repair cars and get them back on track. When the race resumed Robert held his P2 position to the end when another accident brought out the red flag to end the race.

This is Robert's second podium over his last two race meetings. He now heads to Hungary for the next round in the World Series By Renault at the Hungaroring on July 5th.
