FINAL FLING IN EUROPE

Renger van der Zande heads back to the happy hunting ground of Hockenheim for the final round of the F3 Euro Series. It's a race which he won last season and he's hoping to finish his European season on a similar high.

After being drafted in 2 rounds ago, the Dutch driver gave Motopark Academy their first taste of victory in the series in Barcelona. But a character building trip to Dijon means Renger is hungry to get back to his winning ways.

"After the nightmare of Dijon, I can't wait to get back racing and hopefully winning! After France we discovered the problems and the team and I are looking very positive for the weekend in Hockenheim. I have won there before and the team has a good car too so fingers crossed!" said the 23 year old.

This weekend signals the end of a long, tough European season for Renger which has seen him compete in most rounds of the British F3 championship, in which he finished 3rd and scored 3 victories and 9 podiums before switching over to the Euro Series. Hockenheim is a fitting end to the year and the final race last year proved pretty good for him.

"It will be the last race weekend on European soil for me in 2009 and then I head to the Macau Grand Prix, so I really want to end in Europe on a high for myself and the team. I can't wait."
