What does it take to make a great season? A good driver, at the peak of his powers, a good car, tuned in one of the best teams' workshop. For his second year in Formula 3 Euroseries, Guillaume Moreau doesn't want to do things by halves.
The driver put in a lot of efforts since the end of the 2005 season: "I am working hard on fitness with a professional coach to face the new F3 meeting format, especially the 45-minute race. We expect more intense efforts, so I practiced a lot of bike, jogging, and body-building. Other sports like Basket-Ball, Squash and Tennis also proved effective, so we included them in the training program."
Guillaume and French team Signature said "yes" to each other for a second season in F3 that could be one of the most competitive since the launching of the series, according to the level of entries. The young gun from Limoges aims to be one of the title contenders. His 2005 achievements impressed the F3 community, particularly when he became the first rookie to win a race since Christian Klien in 2003. Guillaume spent a lot of time at Signature's headquarters in Bourges over the past few months: "we have a tin-top package with the Mercedes powered Dallara. To improve my technical skills, I took part in the engineers meetings. They worked hard on all the aspects the arrival of the Mercedes implies, and also on the new aerodynamic specifications of the Dallara chassis."
Guillaume's professional approach of the media is another priority. He starred in a series of TV commercials, to advertise French road safety organization. They are currently broadcasted on a popular local channel. His official website www.guillaumemoreau.com has been completely rebuilt and redesigned this winter, and we warmly recommend a visit, especially of the video available in the "showroom" area.
The recent release of the new race calendar brought Guillaume more reasons to be confident. But first, he is looking forward to travelling to Spain, where tests are about to begin in Albacete, in early March.
