Pietro Fittipaldi put on a commanding performance in Round 4 of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in Monza.
Racing under testing conditions, and still carrying an injured hand from his previous race in Pau, Pietro Fittipaldi put on a commanding performance in Round 4 of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in Monza.
Starting 11th out of 35, Pietro fought his way through the pack to finish 7th in race one, securing another 6 points for his Fortec Motorsports team. With an 8th place finish in race two, Pietro ended the day with a place on the rookie podium for the first time this season.
Conditions were incredibly tough throughout the day, with serious crashes in race two causing real danger for the drivers. After further concerns of safety, race three was cancelled after three laps on Sunday.
Pietro was content after the successful weekend, stating:
“It was another competitive weekend, with everybody giving their all on a fast track. I was thrilled to race again, and the podium finish is a great reward for our team’s consistency.”
