LINE UP 2010 / F3 EUROSERIES ART Grand Prix will have three drivers defending their colours in the 2010 F3 Euroseries Championship season as Alexander Sims, Valtteri Bottas and Jim Pla aim to defend the French team's crowns that were secured in 2009.
After some stunning performances in 2009, including a win at the Masters of Zandvoort and becoming the best rookie of the year, Bottas' second season in the sport should yield results that would not only match his talent but also ART Grand Prix' expectations. Alexander has impressed ART Grand Prix for the past few years, especially in 2009 when he was one of their strongest opponents. Jim will now be the young rookie in the team, however he will have some of the best of teachers possible to help him improve through what should be an exciting year.
Valtteri Bottas: "I'm really looking forward to the coming season in the F3 Euro Series, this winter break feels so long and I would like to be in the car already! With ART Grand Prix I feel very confident as I have a perfect professional environment. Just like any driver, my aim is not just to make up the numbers but to win and I want to do better than last year. I am determined, focused and totally committed. I learn every day and I want to learn more. That's why I will seize every opportunity to become an even better driver."
Alexander Sims: "I am extremely pleased to be racing with ART Grand Prix in the F3 Euro Series. My ambition is to win the championship this year and I know ART Grand Prix is the right place for me to achieve it. I have been hugely impressed with the personnel and the resources that ART Grand Prix have and it simply reinforces the confidence I have in them. My engineer Theo and I have started working together and I am confident in our relationship already. I will be pushing all year to get the maximum from myself and the team and I believe we can end the year as champions."
Jim Pla: "Firstly, it is an honour to have the confidence of such a strong team with such an ample prize-list. I joined them for several days of testing and everything went really well, I instantly had a very good feeling with all the team members. Coming from Formula BMW, there's nothing better than the F3 Euro Series and my aim will be to have a good first year and to learn as much as I can thanks to Valtteri and Alexander, who are two excellent experienced drivers."
Frederic Vasseur: "I have to say ART Grand Prix is delighted to have been able to gather the three drivers the team wanted to race for them in the F3 Euro Series in 2010. Valtteri's first year in the series was really convincing and I'm sure he has what it takes to keep up the good work and records registered by the team since 2004. Alexander is not a stranger to us, I've been following him for a few years now and I must say he impressed us in his maiden year in the category. As for Jim, this is quite a step, he is young and will have to learn everything but I'm confident we will provide him with the environment he needs to learn the series and have success."
