Practically perfect! An exceptional weekend that Raffele Marciello just spent in the "Piero Taruffi” Circuit in Vallelunga for the ninth and penultimate seasonal round of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, very important for the championship after the complicated weekend in Zandvoort.

Leadership in the Friday tests, among the fastest in Saturday’s free practice, double pole position in both qualifying and two wins on the three scheduled races. What was missed for the en plein as it was in Nurburgring?

Luck! Prema Powerteam’s bearer was prevented from bringing home the full loot was an unfortunate mechanical fault who blocked him in a smoke cloud at the starting grid of Race 2, so that he couldn’t take part in the race.

The rest was a total mastery! Great feeling between the Ferrari Driver Academy’s talent and the Circuit of Rome, then a good job by all the team for the Dallara F312’s set up. In race 1 and in Race 2 Raffaele was untouchable, leader from the first to the last metre and a clear signal to all his rivals of how to wait for the decisive last round in Hockenheim.

Marciello increased the gap on his most direct follower up to 45,5 lenghts, thanks to the 434,5 points achieved since the first event in Monza to the last in Vallelunga.

Raffaele Marciello: "I was very fast, I did a very good Race 1 despite of a very fierce competition. I kept calm and I brought home the victory, too bad indeed for the inconvenience we had in the second race. We lost some points but, at the end, everything was all right as I also easily triumphed in Race 3. I only regret for that problem, those points would have allowed us to arrive in Hockenheim even more quietly. I was very glad to see so many people here in Vallelunga”.
