Reiza Studios looking to raise $78,000 for new sim-racing game
Learn more about plans to fund a new sim-racing game by Reiza Studios.
On Thursday June 25th a video was released on the Reiza Studios YouTube page detailing information about a new title they plan to release in Q4 of 2016, which they will be crowd funding through Indiegogo.
The Brazilian company (known most recently for their popular PC sim-racing title “Game Stock Car Extreme”) is looking to raise $78,000 to cover the cost of development; significantly less than the £7,000,000 being asked for to fund Project CARS 2.
According to their Indiegogo page Reiza “recently have finalized a deal with ISI for licensing the ISIMotor source code” which allows the developer more freedom in the creation of their new game (and indeed in the development of the other eventual titles which will also use the game engine).
The important things to know about this upcoming title are as follows: it will be on Steam, it will be expanded beyond initial release with free updates and also paid DLCs, they want it to cost $39.99, it should come out in Q4 of 2016, it’s looking to expand on already existing official licenses, it will have dynamic weather and track conditions, and finally it will be a DX12 based game.
As of Friday, the campaign has already raised over $13,000 dollars and has donation options ranging from $10 all the way up to $2000 (which includes a signed poster of Emerson Fitipaldi) but requires a minimum contribution of $75 to get Beta Access to the new sim. Considering that Game Stock Car Extreme costs $30 currently on Steam, and the new game will cost $40, it’s not a bad value at all.
