Team rhino's Leipert is going to start with Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3 in the coming season - its baptism of fire is going to be at the 24h race in Dubai in January 2011.
After two years of use, Team rhino's Leipert from Wegberg made the change from the exotic Ascari KZ1R GT3 to the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3. Having had talks with diverse manufacturers, the Team decided for two sports cars from Reiter Engineering.
"After intense talks and further progress, we decided to have a Lamborghini at the start in the GT3, since we are convinced that the team around Hans Reiter is a reliable partner for the forthcoming years. The car has already proved its reliability and good performance in 2010 (overall victory of the ADAC GT Masters 2010). We trust that Reiter Engineering will continue to develop the Gallardo LP560 GT3 for the forthcoming seasons thus keeping it competitive and that delivery of spare parts is executed smoothly. Ingo Leipert explained:"We want to reach our goals with the Lamborghini."
Team rhino's Leipert is going to start into season 2011 with two Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3 racing in the ADAC GT Masters and the FIA GT3 European Championship. As in 2010, all races are going to be broadcast live on TV channel kabel eins. The highlight of the FIA GT3 European Championship will be held on the Smolensk Ring in Russia in August 2011. In addition to the two national and international racing series, Leipert's Lamborghini is also scheduled to be used at the 24h races in Spa and in Dubai.
The Team took over a Gallardo LP560 GT3 from Argo-Racing from Belgium this week since Argo-Racing is retiring from motorsports after many successful years. Ingo Leipert said: "We once again would like to thank Herbert Lambert for the quick and smooth handling and hand-over. We are already working at full speed in our workshop in order to prepare the vehicle for the coming race. First tests are scheduled for the end of November 2010." The second Lamborghini GT3 is going to be taken over by the Team early next year once it is finalized at Reiter Engineering.
Its baptism of fire is in the desert between 13th and 15th January 2011. Team rhino's Leipert is going to participate in the 24h race in Dubai for the 6th time, so the powerful Gallardo LP560 GT3 is going to be used first on the Dubai Autodrome.
