Rob Huff To Race The 12 Hours Of Spa With Radermecker And Van de Poele
Chevrolet driver will support the BTCS campaign of his two Belgian friends
ZURICH / WELLINGBOROUGH, 23rd May 2010 - Chevrolet WTCC driver Rob Huff will visit Belgium twice in the forthcoming month: before taking his usual Cruze in the WTCC race in Zolder, the Briton will be participating in the 12 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (5-6 June), one of the most traditional events of the Belgian touring car calendar, together with two local heros: Vincent Radermecker (who will drive the fourth Cruze in the WTCC event in Zolder) and former F1 driver Eric Van de Poele. They will be sharing the wheel of the car usually driven by the two Belgian stars in the BTCS.
This is not the first time that Rob will compete in the 12 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, as he already took part in the event in 2005.
Rob Huff: "I am delighted to have this opportunity to go back to Spa-Francorchamps. It is a magnificent track and the 12 Hours is a very nice event, with many cars and an enthusiastic crowd. I raced there in 2005, it was my first time in Spa, and I was teaming up with 2010 Le Mans Chevrolet Corvette driver Manu Collard. This time, I am going to enjoy the experience and support Vincent and Eric in their BTCS campaign. It's a privilege to be associated to these two great drivers and I will also have a chance to practice my French!"
Vincent Radermecker: "The 12 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps is quite an event in the BTCS calendar, also in terms of its points weight towards the Championship, so it is important for Eric and me to do well there. Having with us a fast and motivated driver such as Rob will definitely be a plus. I am sure we will be competitive and have a very nice racing week-end the three together. I really look forward to it!"
