H&R BMW M3 GT 2: Comeback and Overall Winner

The BMW Motorsport Team has made a triumphant comeback on the Nuerburgring-Nordschleife and won the 24 hour race that took place on May 16, 2010. Their Technology Partner H&R contributed with the suspension components that kept BMW always on track and in the end were jointly responsible for the Title.

Five years after the most recent overall success the BMW M3 GT2 with start number 25 achieved BMW's 19th win of this classic long distance race. The car, piloted by Joerg Mueller (DE), Augusto Farfus (BR), Uwe Alzen (DE) and Pedro Lamy (PT) won after 154 laps of the 25.378 kilometre course. The driver quartet performed faultlessly and despite problems with the gear box in the last three hours of the race fought their way to the top place on the winners' rostrum.

"We are proud and happy that our technology could contribute to the well deserved triumph of the BMW Motorsport team. And that with a relatively short start-up phase.", declared H&R Marketing Manager, Hartwig von der Brake.
