Kangaroo causes first Safety Car at Bathurst

It's happened before and it will likely happen again.

Every time any kind of racing event takes place at Mount Panorama, there's always the chance of hitting a kangaroo. The first Safety Car deployment in today's Bathurst 12 Hours was for just that.

The No. 42 BMW E46 M3 GTR went crashing into the wall with major front-end damage, coming to a rest at Conrod. Driver Anthony Glibertston indicated that he had hit a roo, causing the Class D team to retire from the race.

The race resumed with the No. 15 Phoenix Racing Audi on point.
