The 2016 Bathurst 12 Hour will be shown in its entirety on free-to-air television, host broadcaster the Seven Network confirmed today.
All 12 hours of next year’s race will be shown between the Seven and 7mate channels, after nearly 400,000 tuned in for the gruelling GT race earlier this year.
“We are delighted to once again be the broadcast partner of this great event,” said Seven’s Head of Sport Saul Shtien.
“We have a long and deep connection with Mount Panorama over the past five decades and look forward to working with the event, the teams and the drivers to build on the success of the 12 Hour.”
“To have the full 12 hours of the race shown live across the Seven Network is a great result for fans and all our partners who make this event possible,” added event director John Casey.
Who will make up the commentary team will be revealed closer to the event.
A free live streaming service will also be operating through the event’s website for international fans wanting to follow along.
