Full Bathurst 6 Hour driver line-up revealed

Supercars stars Chaz Mostert and Tim Slade are the most high-profile drivers in the field, Mostert returning as the defending winner. He and Nathan Morcom will switch from a BMW to a Ford Focus RS, as they look to win a second 6 Hour on the bounce.

“After last year with Nath I’m really excited to head back to the Bathurst 6 Hour,” Mostert said.

“Racing in the Ford Focus this year will be different to the BMW, but it’s pretty exciting to have the blue oval on the front of the car.

“The race has a lot of great memories in it already and the field is bigger this year and I’m sure there will be lots of competition.

“I’m really excited to get out there.”

Mostert and Slade will be joined in the field by Supercars endurance co-drivers David Wall, Karl Reindler, and Warren Luff, while former Bathurst 1000 winners John Bowe and Paul Morris are also confirmed starters.

There are 23 entries in Class A1, a number of which are shaping up as outright contenders.

One driver legally won't be able to take to Mount Panorama until the Saturday. Tyson Harvey, part of a Hyundai Excel line-up, will have to wait until his 16th birthday to be able to hit the track.
