Spielberg ELMS: Thiriet tops second practice by 0.026s
Thiriet by TDS Racing's entry of Pierre Thiriet, Ryo Hirakawa and Mathias Beche set the pace in the second European Le Mans Series free practice at Spielberg.
Thiriet set his time of 1m21.346s in the late stages of the session before giving up his car to Hirakawa for the team's final stint of the session.
The Frenchman was less than a tenth ahead of the duo of Dragonspeed's Nicolas Lapierre with Panis-Barthez Competition's Paul-Loup Chatin, with Tristan Gommendy and Andrea Pizzitola completing an all-French top three.
United Autosports' Wayne Boyd was quickest in the LMP3 category, the Briton edging out Tracy Krohn by one tenth.
360 Racing driver Ross Kaiser narrowly took third ahead of Formula Renault convert Simon Gachet with David Droux rounding out the top five.
