Pierre Ehret well prepared for Spa-Francorchamps
Pierre Ehret travels well prepared to the 4th round of the Le Mans Series at Spa-Francorchamps (BEL). The Porsche pilot of Farnbacher Racing aims to finish on podium next weekend.
After brilliant results in the recent races (3rd rank during the 24 Hours of Le Mans and rank three during the 3rd round of the LMS at Nurburgring), Ehret even celebrated a hat-trick only four weeks ago. During the Porsche Sports Cup he won three races at only one weekend. Site of the incident: Spa-Francorchamps.
"Of course you are even more motivated, if you know, that last time everything worked perfectly", Ehret said. "But the Le Mans Series is a much higher level. My former victories do not count here anyway."
So Ehret is back to square one an has to concentrate completely in order to reach podium again.
During the 1.000 kilometres of Spa Pierre Ehret will start for Farnbacher Racing in GT2 category. In the "Flamingo Resort Hotel"-Porsche 997 GT3 RSR" with Pirelli tyres Lars-Erik Nielsen and Dirk Werner will take a seat too. Currently it is not quite sure if teamchef Horst Farnbacher will be present at Spa since he has a flu. "Horst Farnbacher is important for the team", Ehret said, who is wishing quick recovery to his teamchef.
The 1.000 kilometres of Spa begin on friday at 12 o'clock with free practice sessions. On Saturday at 15.10 qualifying will be held until race finally begins on sunday 12.30.
