REBELLION RACING ON FIRST ROW OF 1000 KM OF HUNGARORING
Frenchman Jean-Christophe Boullion in the Lola-Rebellion #13 just missed the overall pole position by four tenths, but will still start from the first row of the grid with a time of 1'32''888, the quickest LMP1 car in the field.
Neel Jani with the Lola-Rebellion #12 set the third fastest time of the qualifying session of the 1000 km of Hungaroring with a time of 1'32''924 only 0.36 tenth behind the Lola-Rebellion #13.
Both REBELLIONs cars are therefore the two first LMP1 cars on the grid with the Peugeot HDI Oreca starting from fourth place on the grid. The overall pole sitter is Danny Watts in the Honda-HPD LMP2.
Bart Hayden REBELLION Racing team manager : "We have both cars in front of the Peugeot HDI on the grid, that rewards the team and the drivers for their hard work since the beginning of the season. We are learning and making progress at each outing with the Lola-Rebellion. This qualifying performance is also a great boost for our partners and our fans. We are now looking forward to the race with high expectations."
