"Spa is by far the greatest track in the world, and I have very good memories as last year we were on the podium for the first time in the Le Mans Series. I hope we can achieve at least such a good result this year and possibly even a better one!...
"You start out at the pit straight which leads down into the "La Source" hairpin. The tight right-hander is taken in first gear and here you need to stay clear of everyone at the start of the race to avoid crashing. You accelerate downhill before arriving at the mythic and very impressive "l'Eau Rouge", that you take flat out, at least in qualifying. You must maintain your speed throughout the "Raidillon" as it leads onto the fastest section of the track, the Kemmell straight, then you brake for the chicane of Les Combes, where you can easily overtake, immediately followed by a right-hander, "Malmedy", taken in third or fourth gear. A short burst of power takes you to a hairpin taken in second gear, a very difficult downhill right-hander because it is off-camber. Next turn is "Pouhon", a very fast double apex left-hander which influences the next part of the track. Another short straight leads you to the chicane "Les Fagnes", taken in third gear. A short burst of acceleration before you brake slightly for the double apex right-hander of "Stavelot". You need to run flat out to carry the speed from this corner all the way down the straight and the long left-hander of "Blanchimont". Hard on the brakes and you are in the "Bus-stop" chicane, which has been modified recently. It flicks you right then left before taking you back onto the pit straight to start another lap."
