Van Der Zande In Top Ten After ‘Boat Race’
Norisring Street Circuit
Renger van der Zande overcame heavy rain to finish tenth in the Norisring’s DTM race on Sunday. The Dutch Mercedes driver felt at home on the wet track and made the move of an efficient strategy to outwit four rivals. The race was eventually halted prematurely due to the torrential conditions which made driving close to impossible.

At one point the wheels were even sliding in fourth gear. The race went very well and I think I even posted the fastest lap. The strategy worked well but, of course, it’s never as good when you’re coming from fourteenth on the grid.
"So far this season we’ve either had a good qualifying or a good race. The goal now is to achieve both on one weekend."
