European Formula 3 rookie champion Joel Eriksson and British F3 runner-up Ricky Collard have been chosen to represent BMW in the DTM rookie test at Jerez.
Both drivers are currently part of the BMW Motorsport Junior Programme, with Eriksson joining the outfit during his maiden European F3 campaign.
The 18-year-old Swede became the series' top rookie and placed fifth overall in the series, scoring a win at Spa-Francorchamps and collecting nine more podiums. In addition, he won the Masters of F3 in August at Zandvoort, and has attended several DTM weekends with BMW.
Collard, son of BTCC veteran Rob, moved up from British F4, where he took second in the points last season, to the renamed MSV-run British F3 series and became runner-up there as well.
Audi and Mercedes have yet to reveal their line-ups for the DTM rookie test, which will be held at Jerez between November 29 and December 2.
2017 tests continue in Portimao
Meanwhile, all three DTM manufacturers will continue to develop their 2017 cars in a four-day test this week at Portimao, following on from last month's Oschersleben test.
BMW have nominated Bruno Spengler and Augusto Farfus to drive; Audi is represented by Mattias Ekstrom and Jamie Green, while Lucas Auer, Gary Paffett and Robert Wickens will be present for Mercedes.
