Audi maintains DTM lead

DTM: In front of 140,000 spectators (throughout the weekend) Audi maintained its lead in the DTM standings in Nuremberg. Finishing the race in third place, Timo Scheider defended his overall lead and gave Audi its first Norisring podium since 2005. With Mattias Ekstrom in fourth, and Tom Kristensen in seventh place, two other Audi drivers scored points. After five of eleven races, Timo Scheider continues heading the leaderboard with a one-point advantage over Norising winner Jamie Green.

Audi 1-2 victory at Valencia

Superstars: Team Audi Sport Italia clinched another 1-2 victory with its Audi RS 4 touring cars in the Spanish round of the Italian Superstars Touringcar Series at Valencia. Gianni Morbidelli started from pole position but dropped behind the BMW of Stefano Gabellini at the start of the race. On lap nine, Morbidelli took the lead and clinched a comanding victory. His team mate Giorgio Sanna was helped by Gabellini's last-lap retirement.

Simon Reinberth just misses podium

JTCC: At only 16 years of age, Simon Reinberth has left a strong impression in his Audi A3 on the narrow Sturup Raceway again: the youngster who enjoys the active support of DTM champion Mattias Ekstrom finished fourth in the first race on Saturday, missing a podium finish by less than half a second. In the second race, he was spun around in the first corner but fought back from 26th position to finish 14th. In the championship standings, the Swedish talent is on tenth position.
