SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (May 25, 2010) -- As the Nitro Jam series prepares to head west a new batch of stars have joined the fun as part of the series' western swing that includes stops at Salt Lake City's Rocky Mountain Raceways June 18-19 and Edmonton's Castrol Raceway June 25-27.
The two week swing through the Rockies is expected to draw some of the largest crowds of the year as many of the sports biggest west coast race teams join Top Fuel regulars Bruce Litton, Bobby Lagana Jr., Spencer Massey and Del Cox Jr. at two of the biggest Nitro Jam events of the year.
Included in the list of Prostalgia Nitro Funny Car teams preparing for the trip to Salt Lake City are Dale Pulde in the legendary "War Eagle" machine, Edmonton's Tim Boychuk in the "Castrol" Pontiac and Twig Ziegler in the "Pizza Haven" Satellite.
Also joining the fun at Rocky Mountain Raceway's Salt Lake Nitro Jam are Jack Harris and the "Nitro Thunder," "Mr. Explosive" Mark Sanders, Todd Lesenko in "Jolly Rodgers" and Jason Bussey. One east coast based race team will also make the trip as Steve Nichols and his "Mill Road Boys" entry tries to continue its success in the new class.
A new collection of Pro Fuel teams will also be a part of the Salt Lake Nitro Jam and will be announced in the coming weeks.
Following Salt Lake City many of the same race teams will travel to Edmonton for the River Cree Resort and Casino Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Nationals presented by MOPAR and E3 Spark Plugs, although there will be a few additional race teams added to the mix.
