Atchison Racing and Pride Fighting Championships to debut new IHRA Pro Funny Car
Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA - Pride Fighting Championships whose Pay Per Views are viewed BI-monthly on most satellite and digital carriers (DirecTV, Dish Network, TVN Action, TVN Eclectic, Bell Express Vu and Viewer's Choice Canada) is partnering with Rob Atchison and his team hoping for a tap out from fellow competitors in IHRA Pro Funny Car.
"We were searching for a partner that had high profile exposure and was looking for a long term commitment. We have found that in the people from PRIDE FC. They are a company that is gaining momentum and we are hoping to expose their product to IHRA race fans" stated Rob Atchison.
Rob and company had the opportunity to meet his new sponsors and some of the fighters at a recent press conference promoting the last Pay Per View "Bad Blood" and was very excited at the prospect of being introduced as Pride's new Funny Car driver. The fighters are pumped about being a part of such a unique promotion and expressed interest in attending the IHRA events. Rob even had a chance to sit with the recent Champion of "Bas Blood", Don Frye, who told him about trips when he was younger to the local dragstrip. Pride fighter and former WWF Superstar, Ken Shamrock, was also in attendance for the press conference promoting his fight against Frye, and stopped to chat and have his picture taken.
PRIDE FC is looking forward to becoming a regular sight at IHRA events and on their new television package. Several of the fighters are being scheduled for appearances at selected venues. In return Rob is committed to attending a number of Pride FC promotional events.
"This is an exciting time for Pride Fighting Championships to become involved in IHRA drag racing, Rob Atchison and his team. It has the unique distinction of competing in both Canada and the USA adding to the exposure of the Pride FC corporate brand. We want to introduce mixed martial arts to the IHRA fan because the demographics parallels that of ours," said Yukino Kanda, Vice President of Pride Fight Championships.
Along side Pride FC also supporting Atchison Racing is Erickson Manufacturing Ltd., manufacturers of tow straps and tie downs (www.ericksonmfg.com) and West Coast Transportation out of Ontario, Canada.
Pride Fighting Championships is a division of Dream Stage Entertainment Inc. More information can be found at www.pridefc.com or www.atchisonracing.com.
